I'm not expert however I think you don't need to apply for another work permit(i.e. start the work permit process again), you can simply apply for a bridging open work permit. Also I think you should be able to get your PR before April ...

Hi 2011july20 , I'm on the same boat and it's been a month since MER, no PPR yet. I have been lived in UK for 3 years not sure if that's why it took long time for security check. How many counties do you live in ?

The countries I stayed more than half a year are China and UK... I saw people from China got their PPR pretty quick after MR so I assume security check for China is not a problem ... Thus it may stuck on security check for UK ... Anyone else has been stayed more than half a year in UK and how...

I'm in the same boat with you, submitted medicals on Dec 12th and ecas updated with medical received on Dec 22th. Since then no news from CIC. Not sure what to do now. I heard the security checking procedures depend on your name, countries visited, etc...

RPRF payment won't show up in ecas. Send the RPRF receipt to CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca and cc OttPilot-Immigration @ cic. gc. ca with your UCI and application no . They will reply you 2 weeks later that they receive your RPRF payment. That's what happened to me.

Represent NOC descriptions in different ways or in different words however don't just copy & paste. It's up to you to find a lawyer or not.

Hi DelhiGuy, No you should not copy paste the exact same thing from NOC description. You need to have similiar key words in your job duties that matches duties in NOC description.
