Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Thank you both so much and the same wishes for you ladies!!! :) So, by "application in process" does that mean an interview is not needed? I know anything is possible, but generally speaking? Also says "Medical Results Received". Is it possible that they have then checked eligibility, criminal...

Happy news just in time for Christmas....! Finally my husband's file is in process! They started processing it on 16 December 2013. I should be getting the GCMS notes today, but don't think they will tell us anything, haha. Oh well, just happy to see some movement after all this time. Merry...

I think you're really lucky farnaz because usually the GCMS notes are dated soon after you apply for them (I have read one week or 10 days later after ordering), but then are not received for 30 days. So it's great that your notes were generated later :)

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I could be wrong, but I think the security/background check takes a look at a lot of different things: - military service - political involvement (run for office, etc.) - employment/education/association history - countries visited They also run name checks through various security (terrorist...

Hi farnazzz, may I ask when first you applied/ordered for the GCMS notes?

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

The government mentions "targets" but not "quotas". Meaning it's a number they are striving to get (at/around). http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/non-economic.asp However, what's interesting here is the "target" they give for Ankara (1,100) is lower than what was actually processed...

Hi bahareh_h2013. Did your husband write an email address on his part of the immigration forms? This is the fastest way for CPC to get in contact with him (otherwise it is by regular post mail). Has he not heard anything at all? Did they send him an "acknowledgement of receipt" (a letter/email...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

That makes a lot of sense, thanks! :) I just hope that when I ordered them on 20 November, they didn't access the GCMS file too quickly and then that information sits there until 20 December. I've heard before people saw on their GCMS papers that the government worker accessed their immigration...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I ordered mine five days before you :) So I'm hoping to receive them by Friday of next week. Maybe you will get yours sooner on 23 December? Or if not probably after Boxing Day. I think I read that you applied for them before, right? In your experience after the date you applied for them, when...

Thanks Turkey2013, I sure hope so! I ordered the GCMS notes last month and they should come by the end of next week (hopefully). So there is still a chance for some good news before Christmas.

Congratulations to everyone that has gone in process lately. Looks like Ankara has finally started to really get moving. :) I can't help to feel a little bit worried through. Ecas has still not shown any updates for my husband's file and I was approved back in June...I'm hoping they didn't...

I hope you're right too. I think the strike really screwed the process up for many people. But, on a happy note it looks like the embassy in Ankara is looking to hire 3 or 4 new case workers! http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/turkey-turquie/offices-bureaux/2013-ANKRA-07.aspx?lang=en Hopefully...

Sure, the information data set can be found by downloading a spreadsheet here: http://data.gc.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3 You can then change the "Points of Service" at the top of the excel file to show Ankara only. At the tabs at the bottom you can see further...

As far as I'm aware there is no "quota" on spousal PR applications for Canada. I believe this is more the case of the economic class (federal skilled worker, etc.) We only represent a small number of cases for the files processed in Ankara. It's safe to assume there are on average over 100...

To add, they probably wanted to clear up the questions quite quickly, rather than send you an email/letter and request his answers is writing. I think that's a good thing - moving the process at a faster pace. Have you seen any changes in eCas?

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Hmm...maybe it's because he is now in Canada but applied outland? Perhaps Ankara doesn't get that a lot and wanted to make sure the info provided on your forms is the most up-to-date? I don't think there is anything to worry about by those questions. They didn't drill him on any relationship...

Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

Hi Turkey2013, I think the real red flag they are probably wanting to check out the most is the age difference. Be sure your husband can explain why this is not a problem, as it is usually not the societal norm in some cultures for the wife to be older than the husband by a large amount. Don't...

Congrats SoH, great news! :) From what I've always assumed it's the security/background check that can take up the most time. Generally speaking (from what I've read and gathered) the eligibility, criminal and medical check stage is pretty straight forward and can be passed relatively...
