if your currently employed, you can just ask your HR to produce an employment proof which says, Mr X has been working with us since this date and is salaried as $ Y per year, etc etc. That is the proof of your funds as well.

I assume your background check is taking this long as your are Outland and CIC has to confirm with another country to which you belong. But for Inlanders its quick, as they are all under the same government but a different department.

I recommend you to just wait for CIC to get back to you as they will ask you for the updated documents. But as per the questions statement it is clear that they want the exact address of the person for any specific time. If you were living as x place, they need the address for x place.
