Usually its about 2-4 weeks. But there have been cases where it had taken much longer.

A positive update guys. A friend of mine who requested visa office change on Oct 28, recieved a mail from CIC yesterday informing him to submit his PP to Canadian High Commission, New Delhi.

Hope CIC folks start processing such cases at a quicker pace. Don't want to see this as a "second round of wait" (first one being the long wait for PPR)

After reading through your ordeal, it doesn't take rocket science to figure out that your lawyer is at fault. I wonder how your firm agreed to pay $11K to such a useless fellow who did no good for your case. I would advise you to get rid of him asap & look for a new one if possible...

Hope we see any update for any of our fellow applicant soon. I read a few days back in the forum that currently its taking 10 days.

Kovacs, Did you explore the option of getting a BOWP & gain additional work exp to cover for the gap ? Or has your WP expired already ?

i guess the question is the Principal Applicant completed his medicals in Mar 2014 & Dependent(s) completed theirs in June 2014. So on their PR visa, which would take precedence : PA's medical date or dependents' ? As per my understanding the PR visa will be good for 1 year from the date PA...

Looks like recently nobody has got VO changed & Visa stamped at New Delhi VO.

Thanks AMG, Now, i have also asked my representative to request CIC for changing visa office to New Delhi. Wait begins for their response. Some one from the forum reported a turnaround time of 10 calendar days, lets see how it turns out for us.

Jes, I did that already before posting this thread. The lawyer informed me about the avialble options & has left it to me to decide. To do that i just want to know, if i request change in Visa office for Passport stamping, would CIC expect me to notify them about my current address (in India)...
