**OCTOBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

My friend who went through express entry had about 2 weeks from when he sent it to when he could land. But I believe you have a long time from when you receive your COPR and the deadline for when you have to land. Of course, every case is different so I would probably wait to give notice until...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I'm a US citizen and they've requested that I just send a scanned copy of my passport and not the actual passport itself. So it sounds like you'll be ok.

fingerprint request (Iam freaking out pls help)

If you have lived in another country for longer than 6 months, they will ask for a police check from that country. Sometimes they do a Canadian background check as well, it's totally normal.

Traveling while application is being processed

A student visa is enough for re-entry as long as it is still valid. You should be fine. Lots of my friends from uni traveled on holidays and they were allowed re-entry without a problem.

Traveling while application is being processed

If your student visa is still valid when you re-enter after your trip then you're fine. Your PR application is only effected if they deny you entry into Canada.

Outland Sponsorship Application sent. Can I move before I'm approved?

You can't officially move, but there's no reason why you can't take an extended vacation to Canada while you wait for PR. I flew into yvr in December with the intention of staying until the application was done and all they asked is "what brought you to Canada?" Which I replied with "I'm...

She should apply for a post graduate work permit! Then she won't need to get by on implied status and will be free to travel if needed.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

We actually never got a decision made status under sponsor, just PA. I looked around and that seemed to be dependent on whoever was looking at my application but, yes I am seeing DM on ECAS but not MyCIC. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I receive COPR in the mail soon! I have been looking at...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hey everyone, Just wondering if I should be celebrating or biting my nails off... one place says 'decision made' but another says 'final decision: not started.' I was just able to link my application to my gckey so I'm not sure how long the 'not started' status has been up. I want to say this...

**OCTOBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS**

Hey everyone, We have not received an email about SA about my spouse, but it says that my application (person being sponsored) changed from 'received' to 'in processing.' Is it safe to say we have received SA now?? Thanks! Fingers crossed that this is a speedy process for us all :D

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I'm sorry that's happened to you, but I'm also glad that it got resolved! Even if it's a little later than intended, it's still getting processed properly now. That means that hopefully my application can get re-filed without an issue. I contacted our MP and I'm hoping they will add an extra bit...
