    I don't think it is a reliable sign... My BGC turned in progress like 3 weeks after my AOR and didn't change ever since.

    US citizen do not need a visa for Canada. You just need to submit copies of your PP

    The citizens of some countries don't need a visa to enter Canada. UK, US and France are some of them. I'm French working in Canada under TFWP. I just have my work permit stapled in my passport but no visa.

    Why would they be closed? Except Canadian consulates in the States that could close for the 4th of July I do not see any reason for them anywhere else to be closed on an American holiday...

    French is a difficult language to learn (harder than English). You wouldn't be able to score enough without at least a few years of practice. I took both English and French tests for my application and I found the French test to be harder than the English one. There's particularly a casual group...
