I think background checks have some expiry date as well and they expire same as medicals and then they redo them. Anyways keep faith bro. In the end immigration is just a small part of your life, and there are other bigger things to worry about. :)

Hi bear1919, Do you know which office will issue passport request for your dependents - CPP-Ottawa OR your dependent's local visa office ? I think this is important to know becasue if CPP-O issues passport requets then you need to have passport of your dependendts with you in Canada.

Hi bear1919, Where did your dependents do their medical - are they outside Canada ? My guess is that it should take longer if you do medical outside Caanda and then the respective visa Office has to send medical report to CPP-Ottawa. Any thoughts ?

They called me back the next day and asked to wait for 10 days to get an email from CPP-O and said to call back again to call center if get no response in 10 business days

Yes called CIC call center. Their first reaction was like "ooh we dont know" ... however the call center agent told that he is going to send a note to their partner (may be he meant CPP-O) One thing is for sure... call center agent was not sure of this note in FAQ by CPP-O...
