I just know, whatever you need to be translated in english or french, needs to be also notarized. Usually you go to the translators' office. They offer you certified translations which have solemnization, stamp, signature of a notary. You just go and tell you need a notary certified translation...

Well.. my passport has both french and english info.. (e.g. name, dob, city, etc) I dont need to translate it, I am just not sure if I need to notarize the copy of it, so it is certified. :) And my spouse (Canadian Citizen) has all the docs in english. I wouldn't want the sponsorship process...

Well it depends on which Visa Office is your application going through.. Like I am from Latvia. But all my papers are being processed in Warsaw (Poland). So I would be called for an interview in Warsaw. ;)

It applies on family members like dependent children or a spouse or a common-law partner of a principal applicant.. the ones that can be sponsored along with the principal applicant. ;)
