Sure. They changed my status in MyCIC to "we are processing your background check...", that is how you can know. In my case, I also got a letter request (inside MyCIC) to do a fingerprint criminal record check with RCMP. They sent me an email to tell me to go read the letter.

There are at least a few Quebec applicants here See my timeline in my signature I still haven't received the medical request. Quebec applications seem to be moving slower than others. We might still all finish together, but for now it does seem slower.

If you apply as an Ontario resident and then move to Quebec you will at the very least have a delay in your application. Keep in mind you are obliged to inform CIC of any address changes, so hiding this is not an option. The province of Quebec has complete control over who it approves as a...

I just linked my PR application, without having received AOR yet! So happy! (I did not apply for a OWP as I already have a valid WP) Options I used to get it linked: Permanent Residence -> Family Class (Spouses) -> Family Name, Given Name and Date of Birth -> Passport And the tricks (as...

Mine was also received on the 6th, still no AOR. It becomes concerning if we see multiple people after us getting their AOR, but that is not the case.

They said it will come back with a letter explaining why. Supposedly there is a missing document. I doubt it, we checked everything multiple times. Will see when it finally arrives here. Yay for over a week on the mail due to the strike...

Hey folks. I am on the phone with CIC right now. Officially, Mississauga is sending out AORs for October 2nd right now. So, if you got yours faster, you are lucky! :) And if you are from later than Oct 2, hang in there. Edit: my application was returned on Oct 24...

Thanks. My sponsor is calling. However, they ask for the application number in the automated menus. Do you know the way to get around that? Edit: she is going for other options, not PR application. Getting the usual "too many calls" response so far.

Just tried with the payment receipt and sponsor's information. Nothing. If people from late October start receiving AOR and I still haven't I'll conclude there is an issue. For now, just more patience

Thanks for the reply :) I am the principal applicant. From my understanding it is my spouse, the sponsor, that should check ECAS? We just did that today, and got nothing. Just to be sure, I tried it as well since I have a UCI myself from previous permits (the other menu options I don't have)...

@Betabr in this thread is in Quebec and received it very quickly. Is there more data supporting that idea?
