I am not sure, since I did both. I ordered two physical copies (and paid twice as well). One copy was sent directly to CIC, the other was sent to me. When I got mine I scanned it and uploaded in my application. If I were you and had only one copy, I would first take a high quality scan of it...

Thanks, it is definitely nice to know. I was being processed in Mississauga, at least until the RCMP fingerprint request. If I have nothing until next week I will call to ask if I have been transferred. PS: since we are sharing related news, I imagine you are aware that Quebec's new government...

That's a good point :) However, it would indicate that Quebec's queue is potentially much longer than everywhere else, which supposedly should not happen. We have to obtain a CSQ, but once that is done the federal government has full jurisdiction over our applications.

I got my RCMP fingerprint check result today, and uploaded it in CIC :) I also had a physical copy sent directly from RCMP to CIC, but I uploaded my copy anyway as extra safety.
