It's really hard to understand why would it take so long to post passports after the visa has been printed, and why passports with visas printed on the same day would take different lengths of time to be posted with the same carrier.

Hi, I know this post is old, but I'm probably going to do my landing at Point Roberts in the next few days. I'm just worried because I don't have a car (or a license), would you think it would be possible for a friend to give me a ride to just outside of it and do the crossing on foot? Thanks!

Even though MyCIC status changed to "Approved" I have not received any e-mail. Also, the status mentions a message in the profile with further clarifications, but no such message exists. Does this mean anything? Has anyone else been through the same?

My application changed to "Approved" today! I hope they are really sending it (inland) the next day as it would allow me to land perhaps this weekend! Timeline: Passports received: 7/31 Printing Queue: 8/3 Application approved: 8/22 Tracking activated: ??? Passports delivered: ??? Landing: ???

Checked a few times today and still no update. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have good news, since others with similar timeline are getting approved today. Soooo much anxiety!

When you guys say that your application was approved, did the status of the application change in the website, or have you received a message from CIC or both?

Congrats! My delivery date and at agent hands dates are exactly the same as yours. Haven't got my approval yet though. But this gives me more hope of getting it soon!

Managed to talk to them on 888 242 2100, after trying different options and a 19 minute wait. The person who talked to me was very kind. She informed that my passport went to the printing queue on August 3rd. According to her it will likely be printed by the end of this week, so I should get my...

Ouch! I hope they don't make mistakes on mine, or it will cost me 6k in tuition!!!

That makes sense, and is not too bad news for me. At worst I'll get my passports back the second week of September, soon enough to get a partial refund on tuition. I'll still lose some 1k CAD though. :(

Has anybody waited for more than 30 days between PP received at CPC and tracking activated?

I'll try calling again Monday since today I couldn't talk to anyone. Since my passport was received (by tracking number) one day before yours, I guess they are in about the same situation. Hope I get it back by the end of August, so I can do my landing before 9/5.
