Hello All,
Just wanted to share my experience of PR landing at Point Roberts/ Boundary Bay crossing.
Landing done on 13th Feb, 2017 in a personal car.
Informed US immigration officer that I wanted to do flag poling for PR landing. He then gave me a orange sheet. I then parked my car in the parking on US side, went inside a building and got a white paper to show it to the Canadian officer.
Drove to the Canadian side, informed the officer that I am here to land as a PR. She told me to go inside the building where the officials entered something into their system, took my sign on CoPR, handed me over my copy and congratulated me.
The total time was abut 50ish minutes, little more than I anticipated, may be because it was a Family Day here in BC and few people were travelling across.
Travelling into Canada (after landing) without PR card for non-visa exempt national-
The Canadian official clearly told me that they wont have any problem to check my identity as a PR into their system once I land at POE. But its the airline officials that might or might not allow you to board. That's the only hurdle.
Hope this helps!!!
Thanks!!
