Hi VB20, still no status update on ecas. Shows application received and nothing after that. No "medical received" yet. Not sure if they have even opened my file as of yet.

Hi All, My file was transferred on Mar 28 but I haven't heard anything from NDVO yet. Would it be too soon to order GCMS notes to see whats going on with my file? Or should I wait it out a bit more? Thanks

Nope, my wife has zero travel history. I guess thats why still no PPR.

Rahul, its still 10 months. Not sure where you're checking. Not even a single office has processing time of 36 months...

Another thing I would highly recommend reading is the Operation manual Case processing officers refer to for processing of applications (OP2). It gives a good insight into how they make some of their decisions. The manual is from 2006 but it still has some valuable information. Here is the link...

Thanks mum_girl. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes eCAS is not updated until Thursdays.

I'm not rushing to contact them yet. I was hoping for a status update this week but so far nothing has happened. Maybe next week. It could be because they're clearing applications from 2012 (just by looking at the 2012 New Delhi thread) and have not gotten around updating some of the newer files...

Medicals are only good for 6 months so make sure they're done at the very end.

Can you please explain this further? My wife's medical was done based on this new online system as well. I thought with the new medical procedures in place, all the related medical paper work and medical forms are being completed and sent by the panel physicians online.

I have read a few cases on other forums where the spouse was granted a visitor given that the spouse living in Canada was facing extreme hardship (eg due to medical reasons). But those cases are very rare. It is a very difficult time for all us being away from our spouse's. CIC recognizes this...
