Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

MR. SIDHU, this is the thread for people who wait for their PR cards or have questions about it. You should try in other PNP topic, maybe here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/timeline-for-pnp-applicants-for-onlynew-delhi-visa-office-20122013-t139697.0.html But...

Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

For info purposes, I have called my co-worker and he confirmed that only immigration visa was crossed during landing. He still has his last work permit and his last TRV was not touched. What are you guys basing your opinion on when you affirm all visas being canceled? IS here any person who...

BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Iwanttoimmigrate: 1. If you plan to stay with the same employer, you will have to let him know when your WP will expire. Or when he asks you, whichever comes first. They usually need a copy to prove you work legally, so no rush here. 2. Date of approval 3. Check your current expiry date on SIN...

Done my landing...Those that already have PR card...How long to wait?

I am looking for someone who actually traveled before getting PR card. There were similar questions asked in this thread, but no clear answers were given. So, listen carefully as mine is complicated ???: TASK: I plan to land sometime in early March and I have to travel home-firm-in the end of...

Question about landing at border office

No US visa is needed. The procedure is called "flagpole" and is well known to officers

MR not received but did upfront Medicals

Did you read carefully? My application status IS "Application received" and that's what bothers me. Yes, I sent them scan too. But they actually associate results with your application ONLY when it's your turn for MR, not when you sent them. You better don't bother them with emails, and let them...

MR not received but did upfront Medicals

I will join this thread. No Sri_sai, there will be no MR for you cos you don't need it. I have done my upfront medicals too, they received them and updated ECAS last week. I received email from CIC saying no action is required on my side. Isn't that why you do upfront medicals- to eliminate...

    MAY 2013 APPLICATION

You guys don't even bother to find logic in ECAS updates. Mine still shows "Application received" even with "Medical results received" (upfront)

Tips for a successful BOWP application

This question has been answered many times in this thread. Don't be lazy and use search before asking again.

    MAY 2013 APPLICATION

Only ECAS, which may take some time too. For those with upfront medicals, ECAS will be updated and results attached only when actual MR has to be sent out.

BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

You listed Work permit twice. Actually, there is no WP in document checklist, just scan of passport. There is a question about document number of your last WP in application form. I don't think you should attach it.

    May 2013 application

immigrationaspirant, there are couple of topics about BOWP already. Why don't you spend time to read them and post your question there, where it's up to place? It's off-topic here :-X

BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

leothelion123, I don't have 100% answer for your question but my experience may help you. I was on closed WP which was close to expire when I traveled out of Canada. Before leaving, I got a new one, so I had 2 WPs on me, that were both valid at a time of my re-entry. My visa had the same expiry...

    May 2013 application

I mentioned the results of my notes couple of pages back. I received them December 19. All assessments have been passed but application has not been assigned to anyone and doesn't have due date yet. I didn't pay attention to it first until I read your post. I felt that it was one step away from...

Open Work Permit vs. Permanent Resident Status

PMM, this can be reasoning from employer's side, but it doesn't make it law. Hiring PR doesn't mean he/she will stay long, everyone has same right for 2 week notice, so this one is more of an excuse. The question, whether the situation is legal or is it discrimination, remains open. IMHO If...

Open Work Permit vs. Permanent Resident Status

Does open work permit poses any hidden restrictions as to where you can be employed? In case, there are no restrictions on OWP itself, can employer refuse hiring a person, based on OWP fact? To my understanding, OWP puts us on the same level with PRs in labor market, where our qualifications...

    May 2013 application

knatividad14, CoPR= passport request for people who do not need visas to enter Canada. Basically, German citizen will receive just CoPR and will go to land with it, while Indian national will have to send passport and land presenting visa stamped.

Nothing much. Visa office requested, details of Nomination Certificate, and RRPR fee request- the latest one.
