NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

It seems to depend on the visa office...I never heard a thing after my SA, until months later when I got the PPR (passport request), so it seems to vary. So I wouldn't worry too much if you don't :)

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

Seems alright to me although it is a slightly different order of events than what I went through. Maybe they've changed their process a bit. I specifically got the email from CIC saying I was approved as a sponsor and then my wife's package was forwarded to LA. And that was it...for about 5...

    RPRF

Most likely what has happened is that your wife was given a UCI (as a sponsor) and you were given one as well (as an applicant). Admittedly this throws a lot of people off. It is possible to pay the RPRF online...I did it all up front so I didn't have a UCI to use at the time...the best thing to...

App for PR inside or outside Canada?

You want to time it so that the FBI check is the LAST thing you're waiting on before you send in the app, because it is the most time-sensitive thing after all. So if you have everything else set to go...i.e. you did an up-front medical exam, you have an Option C form from Revenue Canada (if...

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

Hi there KathyMcL, It sounds like your husband got his SA but he should have an email to that effect...if he does, I can add the exact date to the spreadsheet. Since you asked, yes, you can totally come to Canada and wait out the process. Since the U.S. is a visa-exempt country you're not...

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

Admittedly, I've always felt some of the intermediate colors are a bit....excessive. In my own opinion, the only milestones that really matter are: -SA approval -Passport Request -Decision Made -COPR received -Landing So I may just have the spreadsheet reflect those milestones by color....of...

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

It was actually filed in March -- you're seeing the day/month backwards :) With that said, 7 months was probably about average for a non-complicated case of an American spousal sponsorship. Our app package was as complete as it could get and there were no issues with medicals or police checks...

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

Hello all :) Sorry I've been a bit slack on the updates...I just made another pass through the spreadsheet, so please let me know if you still see information missing that I should have put there before. Thanks, and keep up the good spirits!

    RCMP certificate?

We got a similar email when we got our PPR....it's most likely because your husband has spent enough time in Canada. (my wife was actually "living" with me for three years). If you have the means to get digital fingerprints done at a fingerprinting agency, you can usually get the RCMP check back...

Ok. Fixed. Somehow the order of the cells in the equation was reversed in all the other rows. I'll get to the new updates soon too. :)

I noticed that too...I just haven't taken the time to check out the logic yet...odd that the first row seems to be working while the rest are all negative. I'll probably take another look at some point today. :)

Hello everyone :) I'm back on the spreadsheet and have made all the updates I could find. Let me know if everything looks right!

Canadian Police Certificate - when and why?

If you're applying outland, you don't have to include it. They may ask for it later but your app won't be "incomplete" without it (i.e. they'll still get to work on it). That said, it won't hurt your cause to include one if you can....if you're in Canada and can get fingerprints done digitally...

NOVEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS -- Here is your thread!!

Hey November folks :) I'll be travelling for a week, so I won't get to do much updating of the spreadsheet, but if you do send me a note, I will get to it when I return! Enjoy! -Duberblue

As a sponsor, Do I need these documents if I am sposoring my wife

I believe a copy is accepted. Most "original" marriage certificates are really copies anyway.

    Residential Address for IMM0008ENU

Yep...exactly what my wife did, even tho she is American and was only staying with me as a Visitor. Earlier in the form there is a field where you can specify the Status in the country as "Visitor", so there's no worries about misrepresentation at all :)
