Just a general question. Even though I received SA last Thursday, my online status is still in progress, and my wife (applicant) Application Received. Do they actually change sponsor's status to "SA" or just IN PROGRESS?

I checked those late last year applications, and found that AOR2 could come in between 1 weeks to 1 month after SA.

Great! Congrats! May I ask why you got SA in August, but the application was sent to HK in September? I got my SA today, but they said the docs would be sent to HK. So they will hold one month before sending the docs?

Yes, so far 4 whose applications were received after or on Feb. 1 got SAs.

Yes, at least first screening, they don't see any missing files. Otherwise they will send back your documents, and you have to submit the whole application package and start the waiting game from scratch.

I think if they access your files or update your account with a new application, you can not access ECAS. Once they complete updating with your new application, you can see the new application as well as the old. I have not used ECAS for ages, and even changed my email account to access ECAS...

That is very encouraging! if Oct. 2015 batch got DM today, then the total process time is like 6 to 7 months.

I hope you are right. this year the quota for family reunions seems to have increased if i am not mistaken, and the total number for immigrants also increases. The government under the new leadership of the liberal party seems to be more welcoming to new immigrants.

Then according to my timeline, you might be able to do it tomorrow. But since tomorrow is weekend, you will probably be able to do that Monday.

When did you get your AOR?

You should probably be able to do it now. I got my AOR Mar. 10, and I just found out i can check online status today. (Mar. 12).
