You should try contacting CIC first. If it shows In Process there is no reason to worry, your PER is on its way.

Hi Its a good sign. But I wonder how do they verify even before your file has reached VO. The reference checking part is being done by Local VO. Are sure It was from Canadian Consulate or CIC? It seems you are yet to receive your PER. Wish you luck for your PER. Regards, GMP

Its 5-7 days if its shipped from India. When you book the shipment Fedex people say its 3-4 days but it actually takes 5-7 days.

Mate. Its Received By Visa Office. When your local visa office receives your file from CIC, they send you an acknowledgement mail which is called "RBVO".
