Ok so only AOR confirms if the application is complete, not ECAS. Makes sense as I have read before that ECAS can be quite unreliable... I wish you both luck with receiving your AOR's. Perhaps due to the delays, you will have speedy background checks!

Did you mention that you have ECAS showing 'application received' ? If so, I would be extremely surprised if IRCC sends your application back AFTER it is in their system as received.

You do not need to inform IRCC about a job change. I was working when I applied for citizenship and I am not working now. IRCC will address any employment questions during the interview stage if necessary
