July 2017 applicant here. Logged on to Gkey this morning, saw "We are processing your background check." Ecas says "Decision Made" and added the second line "We started processing your application on December 18, 2017." Woot! Hope everyone waiting gets some movement soon!

Congrats!! Did you get notice that your background check had started, or Decision Made, prior to receiving the passport request?

It's not dumb at all! I would be happy with any kind of change or movement. My husband and I (I am the sponsor) are July applicants, so I know we still have a ways to go...

OMG, I am so sorry. We have been waiting 4 months, I can't imagine waiting 15 months with no movement!! (I am also a Canadian sponsor living in the U.S. with my American spouse). I wish I had some advice, but I can only give my support and sympathy. I hope you get an answer soon.

My husband also got his medical request on Sept. 1. He completed the exam on Sept. 15, and since then ecas only shows "Medical results have been received." It's been nearly 2 months--I thought we would have learned if he passed the medical exam (or not) by now. Anyone know if this is normal? Or...
