Another Nov 2011 applicant received PPR from Ottawa to send passport to Detroit... Seems like things are rolling again after a long pause. :)

I don't think so, not with the electronic file system. It used to when everything was paper based as they had to dig into the files.

I don't think its Ottawa causing the delay. It's Detroit and rest of the visa offices who are going to issue PPR. Ottawa just does security checks and forwards it on to the visa offices.

My address also started to show up last week. I think its just technical thing. I don't see any logic behind it.

Send them an email at detroit-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca . Also, you should include your file number, Date of Birth and other relevant information to prove your identity? My file also moved to Detroit from Ottawa? How long did they take to send passport request?

Hey, I hope so too.. Yes, I got medical request end of March and the results reached Buffalo on April 10. I did a case specific inquiry to Ottawa and they informed me that my file is in Detroit.

Mine also got transferred to Detroit. There is not much information available regarding their processing times.

The notes which Canpaki posted about phase-1 and phase-2 are for family class and appeal cases processed at Ottawa. cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob305.asp
