There might have been a discussion about it or pre arranged and I am sure that Omidvar will join discussions, the two bolded IND's were appointed by Harper, so if they vote with the CONS they will get the majority, let's hope that they will consider otherwise

In the same way, how about the people who had to wait extra time to apply because they got caught to c 24 and if not might have been citizens by now? They didn't give a fair deal to the people who landed when the three year rule was in effect and then got caught in the middle

But, I just checked, in 2014, the Senate had met for a total of 84 days only. So up to today, they have met a total of 83 days, and with tomorrow they will match 2014 and then adjourn early as they did in the Summer even though in the official calendar it mentions that they have to meet up until...

So it seems by the post by Ottawahd that the Libs are between the devil and deep blue sea. If they wait and wait and allow the Cons to carry on, most current PR's ( like me) who will most probably vote liberal will not be eligible to vote and they will lose a sizeable immigrant vote at next...

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

Yea to that, but how do we push the Libs and the Inds to take control and stop the filibustering....they are not communicating

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

First, to start, a Senator just asks the presiding officer to recognize them and then starts speaking. Or they can announce that they’re filibustering and share why. "The Senator can never sit down, or they have yielded the floor. They have to stay on the Senate floor and continue speaking...

    Bill C-6: Senate stage

Thank you for the explanation. Yes, I googled filibustering when in the US it happened last year ( or was it beginning this year :), can't remember), it was a new term for me. But you mention filibuster exhaustion - when and how could it happen, can they filibuster for another year, and who...
