I think they just somehow didn't do any checking right away and that is why now it takes longer for us.

i always thought that when BGC goes back to in progress it means that the security check is complete and CIC is processing the results of the external agencies. At least based on the fact that many people were receiving passport requests within a week after the change.

Mine passed in June. I'm still waiting.

Correct me someone if i'm wrong, but isn't review of eligibility in one's profile remains in progress till the very end? It doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't working on the other parts, like BGC or Meds. There's of course an initial review that is done within first few days to assess...

i had a similar thing this week. i posted about here. Medicals went to not needed and two days after to passed again. From what i read here it might be that they are reviewing medicals before the final decision, but i can't really say for sure why it happened.

Today medicals went back to passed.

just opened my CIC account, the status became updated today - medicals changed from passed to not needed (i took the exam in january 2016). My medical result have not expired yet, so have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

Sent a fax to CSIS requesting the status of my security check. they have all the info on their website about what kind of personal data they need in order to reply, but i don't remember the link.

CSIS responded to my request in two weeks. The point here is not that BGC takes more time, the point is that CIC don't even initiate the procedure with CSIS after 8 months of processing the file (and according to my GCMS notes they finished all other activities after one month from AOR), so if...
