we got: DM on ECAS on June 14th AIP in email on June 16th SA letter rec'd July 13th but dated June 28th via Canada Post DM letter in email today July 26th. When speaking to the call line they told me 2-6 weeks for landing letter from the AIP date...they have till the 31st for it to be 6 weeks

I agree totally, there should be an exception to the rule in those cases. So sorry for your wife's loss. I lost my Dad in April, still very painful, I should have been there.

especially when your parents are ill...during this process I lost my Dad, couldnt go back. They are holding off on services until I can go there when this is over and I have the card in my hand.

for me it was completely normal, took me several days, almost gave up, then they transferred me and was on hold for 30 minutes. Keep trying!

when you call make sure you have enough time set aside, I was on hold for 30 minutes before someone answered, this was even after several attempts to be even placed on hold. If you get through, let us know what they say. Good luck!!

for me it was...I simply asked them what the status of my application was, and then specifically asked about the security/background check since I have read that it sometimes holds things up. She told me everything was done and completed. They were very nice and patient with me, answered...

exactly, to me it wasnt a big deal...it happens all the time so as long as it gets fixed, who cares
