    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

I saw the change on eCas the next morning of the test, so I would say 30 May. That was a long time in making for you. Was there an additional step for you? It's quite possible that your letter may be coming soon, & officials may have updated the status online when sending the letter! Hope you...

    Winnipeg - 2017 Citizenship Applicants

Usually the "in process" status is the indicator. I don't think CIC call centre will tell whether file is transferred!

Can we go outside canada after submitting application

We sent our application early March, received AOR, and then went on vacation for 3 weeks. Meanwhile application status changed to In Process when we were away, and got test invite same week as we returned. No problem on application process at all for us!

PR card renewal or staright to citizenship

I think the bottom line would be - what you want to do and where you feel more comfortable! The timeline for citizenship varies a lot. Official IRCC suggests average 1 year timeline. But then some people get it sooner, some people get additional steps in their process like application return...

    Vancouver Oath Taking

You could look at the spreadsheet as well

MARCH Applicant for citizenship March , 2017

I guessed so. I noticed in the spreadsheet that few Jan / Feb applicants from AB had their test & oath either same day or 1 day apart. That's highly efficient. Why can't all provinces be like that. IRCC officers make their decision at interview on the day of test. So there's anything really...

MARCH Applicant for citizenship March , 2017

Gosh that's going back 3 months in memory. As a standard, Most of the Yes No types would be selectable options, so I would select No, where applicable. If the form demands textual value in a text box, then I would enter Not Applicable. (In full , no abreviations) Hope that helps

MARCH Applicant for citizenship March , 2017

Sames the case with me. On other threads, i noticed people mention that their next status message was "we have sent you oath invite......". I guess it might be common.

MARCH Applicant for citizenship March , 2017

As a family application, me and my wife were interviewed together. The test official had mentioned before start of test that family will be called in togther once all members of family have completed the test. This was on Monday. All the best for your test/interview.

Does your eCas show some message like this? I may also call IRCC to confirm authenticity.

Everybody be quite, I got my test & oath note after 5 months

I don't see why not! I had been researching today about Canadian passport process for myself. All that's mentioned is - they need the citizenship certificate, along with other documents. And we will get the certificate after oath, so why not...

MARCH Applicant for citizenship March , 2017

Seems like IRCC is piloting same day test and citizenship. It makes sense, since decision is made on the spot after test and interview. I saw that happen for @CanadianME in another thread!
