Does CIC take the date of package receipt as the date of our application? Or will they use the date we signed in the application form? Or , the worst case, they use the date when they open our package and start evaluating? Jsut for example, if i would sign the application form on Jun 10,2015...

Hi Boasorte, may I ask a question? From your signature you mentioned the date when your application was received..How do you know this precise date? Is it tracked from the courrier? Or CIC will give you a confirmation on receiving the package? Many thanks!

So not everyone use the CIC official calculator when prepare the docs....? If all the absences have been input with precise dates,,the calculator will ensure to let you know if you reach 1095 or not officially,which can save ppl out of similar issues..

Quite similar case for me: I drove to NYC for one week shopping n vacation. When I came back to Canada, the custom lady just checked my pr card and let me go. It was per my request that she stamped a time stamp in my passport...

In that case I would suggest you wait till obtain the citizenship and passport b4 leaving for anywhere else, if you really plan to leave. Just my personal suggestion.

Thanks a lot for the useful info! Is it easy to get enrolled in the test? For IETLS we need to apply one month in advance..and costs 230dollars, and 10-15 biz days to collect the transcript.

I don't believe ppl would care a difference of several months.. As long as we can go wherever we want freely after we obtained citizenship and passport. This is the key point. No one wanna be restricted to stay in one country for the rest of his life just to keep a citizenship.
