Thanks Saina.
I agree. I waited nearly 10 months to get this, will be a shame if I decline and never get another chance. I suppose I can handle not having enough time here than not having an invite. Thanks Tej.
Passport office. That's the procedure. Go to PSK, there's an option for PCC, just fill out the details, pay and get an appointment. You should get it on the same day. Just take a print of your ITA letter, not mandatory but I was asked.
Goodluck!
Thanks bestofluck.
It just occurred to me, I've completed my form and trust me it was hectic. Will I have to fill out the form from the top again if I decline the ITA now?
Thanks!
Thanks imam +1.
So if I decline now, would it straight away be back in the pool or do I have to enter it again?
And do you know how often a draw happens? And when the next likely draw is?
Thanks!
Hi all,
MY CRS is 463 and I received an ITA nearly a month back. Although I have all the documents in place, I'm not in a position to move to Canada in the next 10 months. I have a few things to sort out before I can move there. Since the Visa is only valid for a year since medical report, I'm...
True. But, this needn't be a proof of permanent residence. CIC states you could also show a temporary lodging arrangement (a hotel) when you land. But I suppose it helps to have a friend or a relative's address in Canada for the PR card to be mailed to.
If your stay in the UK was for more than 6 months totally, then you'll also need a PCC. Just a reminder.
To answer your query, from my observation, nothing's set in stone as far as travel history goes. They are only trying to filter candidates meeting their set parameters. So be honest and...
Hi
Ideally you'll need to show proof of the required funds (15142$ in your case) for six months before the time you submit the application, which is after you receive an ITA. This can be from your savings or deposits. But since you're only required to submit 3 months bank statement, I suppose...
Hello all,
I don't have a 6/6 vision. I have a myopia but it's minimal (0.5 & 0.75) hence I never bothered to wear glasses. The ones I had, I lost.
Now, will not having corrective glasses affect my medical report. Should I but a pair of glasses before my medical exam?
Thank you!
The things that take time are Reference letters, PCC and medical. As long as you're aware of how long you'll need for these, you're OK. Filling the form and submitting just takes a couple of hours if you have everything in place. I recommend you do these things parallely to save time. PCC in...
Thanks Sluffy.
Clearly I didn't know enough :-) Also, I initiated the process through an agent more than a year back, and gave up hope since I never got an ITA. Only now after getting an ITA I've started doing things on my own, hence the inadequacy in knowledge.
Thanks for this post. I happen to be in a similar spot.
My query is, say the funds have been wired to my account in several instalments, would I need a gift deed for each of those transaction or will one consolidated deed will suffice?
Thanks!
Thanks Kryt0n. I don't think you got my question.
Even after I get my PR, I still have to have a job in order to sustain. Now, I'm in the advertising industry and typically advertising agencies aren't LMIA certified. And since I'm trying to assess my prospects, I'd like to know if my...
