After study permit expired you have 3 months of grace period for extension but within extension you have to restore your status also for that you have to make an explanation letter explaining why you are late? What was the situation? Same thing happened to me my study permit expired on 30/7/2016...

Renew your passport first because after your study if you want study permit extension or work permit in Canada they will give expiry date same as your passport expiry date.

You can't if you are on visitor visa for study permit you have to apply outside canada.

You can submit scan copy of first and last page. No need of original passport

They will accept you have explain all this thing in a saperate document so they can understand and attach the mistaken documents with this document. There won't be an issue. Do fast you don't have time and any other option.

They won't accept letter of acceptance or current valid transcript one of them they need.

You can't study or work while your study permit expired.if you apply before expired you can. Better you deffer your admission and waste your semester and fees and obtain new acceptance letter from college for next term and apply again untill that don't leave the country they will accept.

I was in Canada during that period. You can apply any of that. Online application process is faster than offline process. But mine was offline and it took 115 days to approve while online takes maximum a month.
