Background checks are done after MR? or before MR? Over the last month I have observed LVO, NDVO and CVO issuing PPR within 2-3 weeks of MR, in some cases within a week's time. So is it possible that background checks were done earlier? Please check your PM :)

No problem with upfront medicals, doctor will issue you a receipt acknowledging you carried out medicals which will contain UMI number, forward this receipt along with doctors name and contact details to your VO

If you have done it in August then do not raise one now, eventually they will warn you against not raising CSEs so often, what manageronline says isn't correct, He/She is of the opinion people at CIC are incompetent, and most applicants are lazy if they do not follow up their cases with Visa...

PA means Pending Assessment .. Sir For Eg: PA. Due Date@ 31/12/2015 i.e. Pending Assessment, Due Date 31/12/2015 PA in context of GCMS doesn't mean Principal Applicant

LOL, i think PA stands for Pending Assessment and not Put Away!

Will receive it very soon, in the recent past there have been cases where applicants have received PPR 4 weeks after DM. So you should receive it anytime soon / within the next 4 weeks

I believe you wouldn't need a Police clearance certificate for the time you spent on your vessel in Italy, since you weren't ashore but stationed on the ship.

I can't specifically comment about your case as I am not a visa officer, but there certainly has to be something that all those cases had which yours didn't. Here's another update, I saw on the LVO thread yesterday, a guy received PPR after 4 days of Medicals :D

I received the same update yesterday as well, but that doesn't mean that they have received your Medicals recently. My brother did his medicals on the 14th of September and he received an email from CIC on the 24th of September they have received his medicals, however his status was also changed...

BTW today i received my 6th Line Update Medicals have been received :D Now the short wait (In Sha Allah) for PPR begins.

They may or may not have a TV or Personal Visit. If they do, they will most likely call the number that was provided on your reference letters, either in the Signature of the Person signing the letter or the numbers provided on the letter head, they may also go on the company's website and look...
