I wonder if any more of the December cases have heard back, I know one of them did. Also its unfortunate we dont have any members on this forum who had their file transferred in January 2012. It would have been good to see when the first Jan case gets picked up.

Hey Invincible, Yes, dual intent is a process whereby an applicant who is already in the family class sponsorship process can apply for temporary status in Canada. This process is simpler for European/American/South American citizens, as their dual intent applications seldom get rejected...

Hey Lucky What was the reason for rejection the first time around? and how did you address the cause of the rejection in your second application?

My application was received on feb 27th and got the AOR in mid May and a notice of transfer/approval on June 7th. Since then I have not heard from them. Was there something missing in your application sister?

@hogaiShaadi Agreed. I will be following the same protocol. Aim for December/Jan but be prepared for Nov, based on what happens in the next few months.

I am also doubtful of the 9-month mark. If Dec2011 applications are being opened already, thats 6-7 months after the application reached CIC-I. In that case, Dec2012 looks like a reasonable time to send in the additional docs for me (my application was transferred over to CIC-I in June 2012).

Hey Shahnaz, As long as you hold legal status in the UAE and I assume are a Pakistani citizen, you can apply through CIC-AbuDhabi.
