Did not understand what 'US visa is lost' means. I hope you mean that US Visa is expired. You can also send them copy of your petition (like, H1b I-797 or whatever VISA category you are on) as long as that is valid. I did not have the stamped visa and had send Indian Consulate copy of I-797...
