I think Debit card was not the option for fee payment.Other guys can correct me if I am wrong. While charging they will select credit card as mode of payment and this will show your card number invalid. Any person with banking experience can shed more light on this.

Not sure about the exact duration for DD encashment but if you see forum spreadsheet people got PER on average of 8-10 days from the day of application reciept at CIC.

As per the forum spreadsheet the waiting time for DD applicants is around 8-10 days from the date of receipt.
