If CIC contact you, they either write or more commonly, send emails, so i would make sure you keep your email address and if you've already informed them of your intention, then you should be OK. :)

Hi, I just checked and i got nothing. Untill they open up your file you wont recieve an AOR, and sometimes you don't get that!

I agree. It would be great to get some sort of AOR when they recieve it. I lost my postage receipt and have never even known if my application reached Missisauga. Ive spent the last 3 months putting faith in the Royal Mail!! :o :o :o

Hi Rebabe, you can go on a visitor visa (usually 6 months) anytime you like, it won't make any difference to your application times, other than in Postage times. Were your children born in Canada, or did you already go through the Proof of Citizenship process?

Well that suggests that if something is wrti=ong with your application, we would have heard by now. :) No suggestion were the email originated from tho. ::)

Really feeling down now. But I must say i think her theory is sound. missi has been doing the last of March, and the 16th is right in the middle of the month. When Ottawa first started up pushing through March, I did wonder if April would go to Missi. :(

Absolutely. We are currently looking for a house in either North Van or Port Moody area, somewhere we can see the trees. 8) Hoping for approval soon, or an AOR even sooner. Would love to know where they have sent the Aprils!
