Email the cic office and ask that question. I'm not sure how it works but I believe if he was pardoned, it is not an issue. He could not sponsor you if he was in jail

    baby borned outside canada

I'm not sure, but I believe if the father is a Canadian citizen, you and him should go to the closest Canadian Embassy or Consulate to get your son a Canadian birth certificate and a passport.

    Outland application queries

No, that doesn't change anything. I believe getting married is great but I believe you can already apply as common-law relation because you've lived together for over a year. As you're from a visa exempt country, I'm not sure what you it is like for you to cross the border. I'm not sure if you...

    Living with Spouse's Grandma

Omg.. that's kinda funny. I mean I never thought of a fake grandmother HAHAHAHA But I guess people can do anything. Ok.. so I guess, his dad birth certificate would be enough as it would have his (dad) mother's name on it. And to notarize the letter she should go to city hall, right?

I'm sorry about that. Did you live in Canada for those 6 years? I am not a expert but I believe I read somewhere that you can become a PR depending on how much time you've spent in Canada. Not sure.. but worth taking a look at that.

Did you tell them you got married? Bring more photos, marriage certificate, anything else that confirms you are both together.
