I am kinda confused here.
Question 10 - Current Country of Residence?
I am in Canada as a visitor.. should it be canada then? and what about the "end" of my visit?
Would it cause me any "harm" as we're applying outland??

You can apply outland even if you are currently residing in Canada. I am in the same position as you. For the end date I put the date of which my visitor visa ends, but in an addendum I stated that I would be applying to extend my stay as a visitor, plan to stay in Canada until I receive PR. etc.

Nothing has been sent back, but they have only had it in their possession for....4 days!

From my reading on this forum I think the process is

• Application is received
• Application is checked to make sure all necessary forms are present, signatures etc
• If so, application is assigned to an officer who will process the Sponsor forms
• If the Sponsor is approved then the application is sent to a Visa office to process the Principal Applicant Forms and (much later) issue PR

I am somewhere between the first 2.

I'm still waiting for my marriage certificate and it's killing me haha.

Yes it is difficult to wait, but the more time you take getting everything together now the more time you will save later.

Also one thing to be aware of is CIC sometimes introduces new application forms at the start of a month. There was new forms introduced August 1st 2014. This caught a load of people out at the end of July/going into August because people download all the forms and then filled them in and by the time they are ready to submit new forms have been introduced.

One of your last checks should be to check the version number (bottom left corner of forms) and cross-reference the release date of the forms on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Wow.. that's crazy LOL
I still have another month to wait.. so I'll make sure to check all the forms before sending them in.
