Nope, sorry you are wrong. What you are referring to are the MI (Ministerial Instructions). Depending on the time of your application, you are in MI1, MI2 or MI3 group. Anyway, there are three categories under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) class: Category 1 (FSW 1): For persons in an...

Hi Momohj... Still here but it's a Bank Holiday here in the UK so not much to report. ;D Counting the days, doing some research on work and living, preparing for everything. Let's hope for everybody here for some good news! I was thinking (since this wait is taking its toll): They did not...

Yes, the medical department is in Canada and the results of the medical examinations are checked there, not at the VO. I am just amazed by the speed they updated my ECAS status, even people in the FSW2 category waited longer for the third line. Hopefully the process for all of us here will be...

Thanks Yolanda! Do not worry, you'll get your third line soon, I am sure. There are only two of us (plus a dog ;D) so it might be that they are faster because they need to check only two MR's rather than five (like in your case). I have to admit though that 10 days is quite fast, maybe they...

You will always have a different file number once your application reaches the Visa Office. When you file your application at the CIC in Nova Scotia your file number will usually start with an 'E', once your file reaches the VO you will be assigned a 'local' file number (e.g. my new file number...

Nope, not true. You can travel as much as you like to Canada as long as you comply with the regular visa rules (e.g. obtain a visa if you need one or traval visa free if you come from a visa waiver country e.g. UK, Germany, Austria etc)

Hi Woodworker Well, there are many opinions here on the forum but fact is, no one will ever know for sure (unless you really work for the LVO). I do belive that once you receive your secound line ("We started processing...") your employment checks (education, employment verification etc.) are...

When you receive your MR all the employment (your work, your education etc.) related checks are completed so at this stage (your second line) they are just in process to verify all of this (your documents). Once you are done with your MR and send in all the updated documents they will start...
