***JULY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS***

Some VO's don't send out an AOR2 e-mail. The sponsor should receive an SA email. You can call to verify SA status and inquire as to the whereabouts of the email. Otherwise, look for the third line to be added under PA status. It will show the date that the VO started processing. Best wishes...

Yes, so if the PA side on ECAS says In Process, the sponsor has been approved.

It shows the date you linked the application. Just go with the date from ECAS as to when they received and started processing.

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I'm sure you will be hearing something soon. Probably with the next batch of emails they send out. I've seen other people on here where their status changes and a couple of days later, they get the PPR. I'm afraid that they don't list a phone number for CPC-Ottawa at all, just an email...

    Spousal sponsorship

Your chances of approval of a TRV go up after sponsor approval, but they are still slim.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I received an e-mail this morning telling me that my application has been updated. I log into MyCIC and everything is the same as before. Anyone else experience this?

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

From what I have seen it takes 2-3 weeks. It should be mailed to the PA, although CIC has made mistakes before and mailed it to the SA.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Congratulations!! It appears you were approved on everything about 4-5 days ahead of me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will hear something early next week.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Use the applicant's information and try to use the minimum amount of information. Either city of birth OR passport information, not both. Try using both 1 and 2 for the number of people on the application (unless you have dependents). I hope this helps.

Yes, she will need a medical exam. All applicants do.

    SEPTEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS >>>>>>>

There are no income requirements to sponsor a spouse. They look at both the ability of the sponsor and the spouse to provide enough income to not go on welfare, but there is no set amount.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I think you got the labels backwards, but for MyCIC it is all the applicant's info. With both eCAS and MyCIC, they update when they update. It isn't very reliable. Next step would be requesting more documents, requesting an interview(hopefully not), or passport request.

    Yes, yes I did. Oops.

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I would think that since she is the PA, her passport info is irrelevant. Use the PA's info only. Try to use as little information as possible. Try both 1 and 2 as the number of people on the application. Add more if there are dependents. I had issues linking up until they started working on...

My medical showed passed before we had SA, which is way before it was transferred to the VO.

More than likely, they will send it back before you get an UCI for your case.
