I think you should land at the province nominee you is better!!! And so is your wife.
I did not go to Rainbow Bridge cuz it's always over crowded!!! Waiting time is long. From Toronto, yes you can go by bus (Coach Canada and others) at core downtown Toronto. Yes, at the border, they open 24/7...
since your file was transferred to Detroit, it'll be lightly delay a bit in processing. As I know, you're better prepare job contract, bank statement, paystub, T4, etc. Most likely, this office will ask these documents.
yes, you can do email for inquiry buffalo or send to specific email of TruongAn post, I not remember exactly. Since your timeline is over, it's good chance to contact manager of Buffalo.
You can take this as example
Dear Immigration Officer:
File No.: BXXXXXXX
Name: XXXXXXXXX
DOB: XXXXXXXXXX
RE: Application Status
My name is XXXXXXXXX. I did Medical Exam on XXXXXXX as per your request. Until now, it has been more than X months and I do not hear anything from...
Sure, don't buzz them too much. A possible delay I guess is they request RCMP and normally they have the standard time(maybe 60-90 days) to retrieve the application which they ask supporting documents. Sometimes email too much is not good, too.
I think you buzz them right now since you have been waiting for long. When email, remind them that you fulfilled their requested documents already so they can wake your application up again and make decision. Ask them nicely too, might be CC to Catherine, too?
They notice but they don't have time for confirmation. As long as you email or fax, keep the copy (receipt "delivered") so we have proof to notice them on the date, etc.
No problem, it's common mistake though, ^^!!!
Please note: "If your case is being processed abroad, please contact the Canadian Visa Office nearest you." it's from the link you provided. Further, reply from Buffalo office also make this statement, too!
I don't know why people want to make it harder, after waiting and dealing with Buffalo office not enough??? We all come for a long way and why make it harder and somehow give bad reputation to PNPs, :o :o :o
I know maybe I'm over wording but have you ever thought that some Officers also check...
This is totally wrong. As long as you send email to them. They already notice and as far as I know, they don't send confirmation on such things. You can not change E-cas address unless you're PR or Canadian Citizen!!! Even I receive PPR request by email, my new address still not yet updated in...
if it joining account (they show both your name & your sister's name) is fine. Are you in Canada right now? Unless you are outside Canada, they rarely ask for bank account statement unless they suspect something.
Wait for tomorrow Friday then. As TruongAn stated, after visa stamped, VO has nothing to do with it anymore. It's up to the mail-room staff. Only Wed & Fri, they deliver to Fort Erie.
