    My husband got his at the Veracruz state office! He didn´t have to go to Mexico city for anything (for the PGR). They did the fingerprints and everything in Veracruz, took about an hour for all of the fingerprints. And it was a lot faster than in mexico city! Mexico city is 10 business days...

    We got the Mexican passport size and squared at first, and they would not accept them in the PGR. So we had to go take some new Filiacion/Ovaled ones and bring them in the next day.

    LeisaP: I went to the migration office this morning and asked if it´s possible to get an extension on the visitor visa and the lady said no, not anymore. And that you would have to leave and then come back.

    There are flights from mexico city to vancouver and then Edmonton or Calgary they cost around 344$ with all the taxes included. But ya you would have to transfer but at least you aren´t transfering in the states... Not sure if there is a way to extend the visa----maybe go down to the instituto...

    The military service is required when you are 18...unless you pick whatever colour marble that says you don´t have to....If you don´t do the marble picking thing at 18 then you have to do the military service. I think some people got around this with a precartilla though.

    It kind of looks like the PGR...he wouldn´t have to live in Puebla to get it...but I don´t understand how she got it without the letter! Also the pictures for the PGR are in colour, and yu said yours was in black and white... Maybe it´s a completely different police check other than the SSP...
