Letter of Explanation for Refusal - Review & Thoughts

I understand many of you have got rejections and are in dire need of help. But you have to structure your questions before you post on this thread. Try to mention what is your exact profile, what was your undergraduate field and degree, what is your citizenship, if you have travel history...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

Sharing my co-op work permit flagpole experience. I went to Niagara Rainbow bridge at 7.30am on a Tuesday to flagpole for my co-op permit. They accept applications only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I crossed the bridge on foot, did not have US visa - also don't need one. After crossing...

Letter of Explanation for Refusal - Review & Thoughts

Yes, attach the rejection letter as well. It is very unfortunate that even exchange visas are getting rejected now. You can show your financial ties to India, may be a Chartered Accountant’s report of your family wealth, a Police Clearance Certificate, show your 6 month transactions from bank...

Letter of Explanation for Refusal - Review & Thoughts

It seems like the financial documents are the prime reason. You should make a stronger case, apart from first year fees - get GIC, show CA wealth evaluation certificate for your parents and property evaluation documents as well. This will present a strong case saying you have strong ties to...

Letter of Explanation for Refusal - Review & Thoughts

I was in the similar situation as you are last year. You should re-apply as soon as possible with additional documents and countering their reasons, showing them why they are wrong, if you are a genuine student. Can you share your profile and documents that you submitted last time?

Letter of Explanation for Refusal - Review & Thoughts

Yes, that’s correct. I attached the SOP as well while applying again, just in case they want to see it. But you are right, this one is purely to counter the rejection reasons.

Yes they take biometrics if you apply at the border. They take it once your permit has been processes.

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

    1. If you are applying for a Canada Work Permit then yes, you can make the application by flagpoling. But only at certain places. You check my post above for the details, I did it on rainbow bridge-Niagara. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VALID VISA TO ENTER CANADA. 2. You do not need a US visa for...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

No it’s not a big deal. If they feel you do not have sufficient documents they will not enter your name in the system. Its all manual there, we did not even have to submit the application form. PS: as long as all documents are fine, you should not be rejected.

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

I had applied for coop work permit not the regular one. I am not sure about the process involving work permit. That being said, I am curious why do you think you need to flagpole if the application is already processed for work permit? As far as I know, only when your PR gets approved you are...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

As I mentioned yes you have to go at those times at Rainbow Bridge in Niagara. I don’t know about other bridges/borders. You don’t need a car if you are going to Rainbow Bridge as you can cross the border on foot. You can just walk on foot from Canada to US border, as you reach US around that...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

If the officer refuses to process your flagpoling application at the border, it will not have an impact on your application. However, all my friends (about 6) were successfully able to do flagpoling for coop permit. No one was refused. We all went to Rainbow Bridge Niagara at different times...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

Do not cancel your online application beforehand. The border officer will ask you that he sees you have applied online then why are you doing flagpoling. Frankly and calmly reply to him that online application will take a lot of time and you will miss your opportunity by then. Tell him you will...

Sharing Flagpoling Experience for Co-op Work Permit

By the way, your information was wrong! I was able to flagpole even though I am from non-visa exempt country. They require a valid visa and study permit in those scenarios.
