@Nigea, OMG!!! So it mean for those who have not received the AIPyet, it may take to 8 months for step 1? Tomorrow my "Alberta Health Care Card" is going to expire. My boyfriend and I called them today (we called them separately) and asked if they can extend it by using the AOR letter instead...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

OWP can arrive at that same time as AIP or after AIP (approx 6 months refer to CIC website). BUT as you see on the CIC website, it has been working on 4 October, 5 October and 8 October more than 2 months now. I should get mine on the 6June but untill now, no a word :(

I also applied as a Common-Law and we sent the "common-law union declaration" as well. Now it is the time for you to sit back and relax. As it might talk for a while to get AIP. Did you make any mistake? Or you just been worried?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi Line.a, Your sponsor has to receive the AOR letter which will be send via email first. The letter will be as laura8388 mentioned above. Then you fill details of your sponsor (not yours) through this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp Good luck.

Wow! You got the AIP less than 5 months, lucky you! I've been waiting for AIP more than 6 months now. In your case I think it is better to apply OWP now. Good luck.
