    Hi, You can apply for the visit visa and later when he joins you, he can apply for open work permit. This is what i am doing but i believe you can do other way around as well. Depends on you.

    I applied for UK visa last summer and I had an invitation letter from my uncle with his signature, his passport copy and he sent me his bank statement as a proof of funds

    Your brother seems to have good ties with Pakistan. I guess it won't create any problem. They are taking almost 3 months to process the application. So you should expect the result in coming week.
