    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Nope, it hasn't been lost in the mail. I've been on the phone with the call center at least bi-weekly. They haven't mailed it out yet. Their grunts are simply too stupid to utilize whatever filing structure our documents are in. Too hard to do, they're working so efficiently they can't waste...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

224 days waiting for my PR card. I'd love to meet the intrepid band of sea sponges tasked with printing these stupid things. I'm secretly hoping I make it to a full year, just so I can hate them a little bit more.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

The larger reason why this is so ridiculous is that it's not just CIC that wants things like utility bills to prove residency. So what if I pay someone's gas bill, at $25 a month. What does that prove? Or what would it prove to put someone's name on my electric bill, for example. Nothing. What...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

"Joint Utility Bills" Honestly, besides CIC itself being a huge joke, "Joint Utility Bills" is probably the 2nd biggest joke as far as "hard evidence" goes. How a joint utility bill proves anything at all is completely beyond me. Honestly if anyone wants to successfully steal someone's...

    +1 for "CIC can't read".

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

Anyone landing between October 1 and January 1 received PR cards yet?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

That's what's known as typical CIC. They are too stupid to sort things by date, so they just plain don't, it's too hard for them.

You should be able to, give it a try. If you're going to land soon you can always just wait till then, you'll be able to get your SIN at landing.

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

Everyone who landed between October 2015 and January 3rd 2016 had to re-submit photos because CIC is stupid. Further, CIC waited till the PR Card application was at least 4 months old to send out re-submit notices. If they were really too stupid to use the original PR card photo format they...

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

I am wondering if it would make sense to apply for a new PR card at this point. New PRs are getting their cards in 45 days, and renewing PRs are getting their cards in a 85 days. Instead of waiting another 200+ days I think I'll just apply for a renewal.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

It's normal. I'm not sure what ECAS is supposed to be for, but it notifies you when CIC mails you something (yes, pretty useless). So you can use it to see if anything got lost in the mail. At some other random point in time you might get "medical results received", but you might not. That...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

We landed October 8, at that time there was a reported 45 day wait for PR cards. So, sometime in December we should have gotten it. CIC goes on vacation for December, so we expected it in January. The issue is that sometime in December CIC got a new machine that makes PR cards using a different...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

You should be able to travel without issue as long as you use land borders and have your landing document with you. It can take 6+ months to get the card. Source: I've been waiting 7.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Almost all of the messages on ECAS are useless, except the ones that say they have sent you some kind of correspondence. ECAS saying your application has been in process since March just means that your application was added to ECAS in March. Mine said "Medical Records Received", but that...

My spouse didn't get AIP either. In a perfect world CIC would send you AOR, send you SA, send you AIP, *then* send you DM. CIC would process applications in the order received. SA would take 8 months. Pipe dreams like that.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Well, as you know my experience has fallen short of CIC's official mission statement. Presumably CIC sends people AOR's, AIP's, and PR cards among other mythical things. So, as per mission-statement, the sponsor is supposed to receive SA, typically 5 or 10 minutes before AIP is done for the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

What is wrong with you? I'm not asking about OHIP, or OWP. My question is: Presuming that SA happens some (maybe small) amount of processing before AIP, do they actually release/get the results of SA before the results of AIP are released? I know they aren't the same thing, which is why I am...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

When you apply inland, do you ever actually get SA? I know that when you get AIP it's actually AIP and SA, but presuming that SA happens some (maybe small) amount of processing before AIP, do they actually release/get the results of SA before AIP? My experience is apparently not the norm, but...
