    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

CIC can't answer anything, too lazy.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Exactly my sentiment. I applied when it was 8 months, and now it's 16, we didn't prepare for 16. All we see is our goal being pushed further and further into the future indefinitely.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

What happens to all the people who never get an AOR because CIC was too lazy to issue one? If they're too lazy to issue an AOR, then I'm guessing they'll be too lazy to issue an OWP.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

All inland files with AOR? That definitely sounds too good to be true. I imagine the person at the call center was just confused. Either that or they'll send our the OWP's like they send out the AOR's: maybe, sometimes, if they get to it.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

They've been processing August since October, and will be for another two months. Wooooohoo the speed is blistering.

    Extend Visitor Record

Well, my issue is resolved. Don't bother renewing Visitor Records online, it's just a ridiculous procedure. We just went to Canada Customs and Border Protection, gave an officer our old Visitor Record, told him that we applied for permanent residence and are waiting for CIC to reply. He...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

What rate? Processing a single day every week? If this completely unacceptable rate doesn't change, it'll be about 3 years. They're still processing August 2013, it takes them a full month to process 4 days. It will likely take another 2 months for them to start processing September. 2013...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I don't understand why CIC would encourage everyone to apply Outland. Is it because they have no ability to shift any resources over to Inland? They already only have one person working on Outland, and no one ever applies that way? I personally was encouraged by CIC to apply Inland.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I'm thinking exactly the same thing here... How is that even remotely possible. I don't understand how that is even remotely sustainable. At this rate the processing time will increase indefinitely. At this rate, someone applying today will wait 7 years.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Site has finally updated again, they're processing August 20th now. I can't believe it, only 3 days in 3 weeks.

    Spousal sponsorship

It's silly that they complain about a form that 1 or 2 months out of date, when they don't even look at any forms till they're a few years old.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I was told that we wouldn't get an OWP any faster by re-applying outland, were they just blowing smoke?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Awesome! Strangely, even though I always had some border anxiety, during this process the officers at Canada customs have only been helpful. I know, it sounds so weird but it's true!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I love how arbitrary government is. Is it because they send AOR's out with delivery frogs? Or because they literally flip a coin to see if they're going to provide an AOR?

    Extend Visitor Record

Her Visitor Record states a condition that she must leave Canada after 1 year, not 6 months, so why exactly should she have to leave before spending 7 months in Canada? The officer who issued the Visa even noted on her Visitor Record that we'd be filing for family class sponsorship in early...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

Does CIC ever just plain not bother giving you an AOR? I see lots of people here getting AOR's relatively quickly, and I have absolutely nothing after 9 months.
  17. G

    Extend Visitor Record

Ah, I see. Perhaps I should just go in and get it renewed at the border. I don't have a UCI, because I never got an AOR, because I filed my package a mere 10 months ago, and CIC is too lazy to open any mail that isn't 14 months old at the moment.

    Extend Visitor Record

Yes, US Citizen. I had been filling in my intention was to "live in Canada", because that's what the intention is, and we've already filed the appropriate paperwork to do so. But.... since the website has poor design I suppose I'm forced to mislead it by stating I want to just be a visitor...

    Extend Visitor Record

I am a Canadian, and my wife is American. When we got married I moved her to Canada with me, and when she moved in we got a 1 year Visitor Record. We started our application for sponsorship under family class, but since that requires far more than a year, we need to renew her Visitor Record...
