I don't think going to live in Canada would speed up the process. If you apply while living in Canada it would be an inland application which takes longer. You would have to remain in Canada while the application was being processed as well. If you apply from Buenos Aires it would be an outland...

Yessssssss patience is certianly a virtue. I think it is more difficult to deal with here as not only is there the time factor but the uncertainty of whether you have been approved to sponsor your spouse in the first place.

Hi Looped05, If they request your passport it is because you have stage two approval. They have to validate the passport before issuing you your PR visa. Where did you mail the passport from? They will also mail the passport back to you unless you request to pick it up.
