Still no news on the notes I'm guessing? Focus on the good half, and that you will be together soon!!!! I am so excited that there are only 22 more days before I get to see my husband. We don't have anywhere to stay yet, so instead of freaking out (which I did for a little while), I'm now...

It must be Tuesday!! Ecas is running super slow... I wish it was because CIC is busy updating (my) application status, but my status has not change, and I bet the slowness is due to everyone checking ecas for an update LOL. Until next Tuesday....

That's what I thought originally, but all the package included was arranging for the notary, Not the fees to get the marriage certificate. We had to pay the wedding planner 400 and the notary office 800. The notary was cash only at the notary's office before the wedding.. The wedding planner i...

I wrote out a whole message on my phone put nothing posted... so I'll try again. It depends on where in cuba you are getting married. We got married in Holguin, so going to Havana was not an option.(not a good one). Our notary sent the certificates to Havana for us, for a small fee, and 10...

Agreed! So confusing... I may have read it wrong (along with about 4 other people I asked to read it) but none of the cuban's documents (birth cert, marriage cert, etc) are in english or french, so you need to send a notorized, certified translation, with a copy (like photocopy?) of the...

Yes, I thought about that, but it's canadian office, so they do shut down. I checked the website. They close for 2 days. And they are canadian government workers, likely get extra time off at the holiday to see their families. My friend that works in the gov (HR) says they encourage people to...

My SA was approved Aug 26, then the application was received in Havana Sept 18, so it took them over 3 weeks to get it to Havana in my case. Since then, I have not heard anything... no requests for new/additional documents, nothing. I can't call or email (it's still well within the posted...

The difference is that there is the embassy and the visa office. You can go to an embassy, but not a visa office. You need an appt for the visa office, and a canadian would never need that= no access.
