Congratulations!! This is quite normal, we don't live in Mexico, but we got an email stating that a letter had been mail to us with the result for sponsorship. We had selected to receive all communications via email too, but they sent us the paper letter in the regular mail any way.

Hola Paquita, I recommend to call CIC (better early in the morning), and ask where you case stand. Often the web page is not updated immediately after an application has been approved, or a change in the process has occurred.

But "confirmation of current address" refers to just indicating which is the current address he is living in, so CIC can send his visa/passport there, or does it actually requires a document that proofs that he lives there? Did CIC asked for a proof of residence?
