I think I see a pattern in the tracker. Those who are applying for the second time are getting document/medical request later than first-timers. Seems that they process the first time applications faster. Do you guys agree?

I think you should put "member of the public". I checked what they mean by academia, and it means that you are going to use this data for research purposes. member of the public, on the other hand, is just for personal use.

The letter seems fine the way you explained it. I would suggest make it a bit more personal by explaining the research you are involved with. I think it doesn't matter where the money comes from; As long as it is "RA money".

There have been a lot of rejections for not fulfilling the 1year full-time continuous experience. You need almost 2 year part-time to make an equivalent of one year full time. Make sure that your continuous hours add up to 1 year full-time (37.5 hrs per week for a year)

Thanks for sharing your pervious letter Aidina. I hope your application goes smoothly this time. My letter does include all hours, duties matching the code etc. , I have also included T4/T4A tax slips... but I have a feeling that they always just find something, no matter how complete you think...

Yes you are eligible for OHIP and local tuition fees. You first get rejected, and then appeal and the rest of the story as posted several times in this thread... I have the same question about CAIPS. Got PER on Feb 25th. Any value in ordering CAIPS? If so, what should I look for?

I don't know about tuition fees. But for OHIP, you need to be only "eligible to apply for PR" not "eligible for PR". So, once you get your PER, even though you later get rejected, you can still renew your OHIP as long as you live in Ontario. Is that correct senior people?
