Hi all!
I received my SA on August 16. How long do you think I should wait before sending the prepaid waybill to the embassy for the PGR request?
Can I send it right away? I just don't want it getting misplaced before our application gets there.
You have to notify CIC if you do leave, though. It will not hurt your application at all. In fact, it will help to prove a genuine relationship. You will be asked how you plan on supporting yourselves when you return.
I just got my SA! Our file is being transferred to Mexico City. I'm hoping and praying and wishing that this strike will end and they will process our files quickly. I'm considering moving back to Mexico to be with my husband while we wait so, that is a decision I will have to make in the next...
That's great, Hungary! They have it, they're working on it and they're not sending it back.
Mistakes are irritating but, at least now you know what's going on. :)
I wish we could have included the police clearance with our application but, applicants from Mexico are unable to get it until their file gets to Mexico City and it is requested by the embassy. They need to provide the request letter in order to get the clearance.
I think that's so weird. When I called back in June to find out what was happening with our application, they told me that it had been sent back and gave me my UCI. I didn't have to wait for any paperwork to get it; I had it 2 1/2 weeks before I even received my AOR. I wonder if they started...
Hungary, can I suggest calling CIC just to see what's going on? I waited 2 extra weeks before calling in June when I wasn't getting my AOR when everyone on my timeline was because I thought maybe I would get AOR and SA at the same time and I really wish I hadn't. If I had called when that...
Oh, that's great!
I'm just waiting for my SA then, they'll ship our app off to Mexico City. I'm so afraid that it's just going to sit there for months collecting dust.
My husband is in Mazatlan. He went to Monterrey for his medical because it's closer than Mexico City. The medical has to be done before sending in your application.
The only thing you don't have to include with your application is the PGR. They will request it when your file gets to Mexico City.
I'm certain that CIC opens and goes through our applications faster than they claim to. My application was received the first time on June 21 and it was sent back to me with a letter dated July 4. That's 10 business days.
What they're doing in the meantime before they send us AOR or SA is...
