I did exactly that 2 years ago to be with my husband. Although, we weren't married yet so our application was non-existent. Where will you be moving to? I think it's fine. If I went now, I wouldn't change my mailing address at all because I have a PO Box. It might be a good idea to get one. When...

    Translation of emails, facebook comments

I sent in random screen shots of conversations we had on Skype and the translations on plain paper. I mentioned that I did all the translations to the best of my ability and also corrected spelling and grammar. In hindsight, I think I should have sent in more personal conversations but, what's...

Bad situation to be in - how honest before it get's you into trouble?

Mexico City is also doing this. My husband is 41 and we submitted the last 10 years of history and all addresses since the age of 18. In our doc request, they want history since the age of 18. Going back 23 years has been a pain in the arse.

Does anyone know if we have to get the PGR translated or not? We'll be sending the requested documents in the next few days and that's the last thing we need to do.

I think that's kind of strange as well but, with CIC anything is possible. I did find this recent thread that may answer your question. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/state-police-certificate-t173170.0.html

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

mrsalvaro or bossjosh, I have two updates to put on the spreadsheet. We received our AOR and doc request from Mexico City on November 15. ecas stated our application is "in process" on November 28. I only saw it today because I almost never log in to it anymore. It was getting super...

Hi Barbarita, I really don't think that they would ask your husband to redo his medicals if they were planning to refuse him so, I wouldn't worry about that. 15 months is a very long time especially since you have a child together. Have you completed everything else? Keep positive. You are...

Documents that are not in English or French need to be translated. Since they are not official documents, you may do the translation yourself. They don't need to be certified.

My husband received his AOR and document request from Mexico City on November 15. He received his PGR request letter today. Things are moving! I'm praying so hard that the interview is waived and that he will be here soon.

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

It is such a relief after nobody knowing where our application was! He hasn't gotten his letter yet. I did send an email to the embassy asking if they used our prepaid waybill or sent it regular mail and they replied that they sent it via courier but, the tracking number still says nothing so, I...

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

Hi all! It's so great to see that some of you are getting your visas already. We received our AOR and Doc Request from Mexico City on November 15 while we were together in Mazatlan. It was great news! My husband has a little running around to do but, if he's not asked for an interview we're...

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

The Chill Spot was in the middle of page 2, you guys! How is everyone holding up? What have you been doing to pass the time? Is anyone going to see their spouse soon? I'm off to see my husband in 8 sleeps! This will be the last time before he comes here. My credit cards can't handle any more...

Gamyover, have you received any communication from DF at all? Or have you sent them a CSE? I know your ECAS says "medicals received". Ours still says nothing. The last I heard was that they haven't received our application yet but, CIC sent it on Aug 26. My MP says it's probably in a pile in...

Sending an email will probably get you a form response but, it depends on what you are asking. If you have a specific question or concern, you may get a more in depth response. If you are missing any documents, an email may jump-start them to ask for them. I've sent a CSE a few times and each...

Ugh. I hated this question. They way it was/is worded is very confusing. On the current form (which may have been updated since we filled it out) it says, "Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent." My husband is 41 so age...

Yes, that's the right one. You have to sign the release and your husband has to request the notes. Have you sent a CSE yet? I know you've been waiting to hear about your interview for a while. Come on, DF!!

As long as she is not receiving government assistance now, she is eligible to sponsor. I don't even think she needs to mention it.

Did they mention what was missing from your Schedule A? Maybe it's just been some time since you applied and they just want an updated form.
