    Unique UCI number?

Me neither until my wife got it. It's apparently the final stage of the application.

    Unique UCI number?

I'm in the same situation as you just a few months ahead. When you received an email about your sponsorship being approved they sent you a UCI Number and a file number. Use the file number and your wife's date of birth to log in under her file. Use the UCI Number to log in for you. They display...

    Foreign Service - Strike?

Agreed. And sadly the general population doesn't care. Businesses that lose money care but the average canadian is just going about his/her life as if nothing is happening. I'm willing to bet my left arm that the majority of people in canada don't even know there's a strike.

I am an international student and planning to get marry with Canadian guys

Agreed. And the only way people will improve their English skills is by freely speaking or typing without worrying about being mocked. If you can speak a dozen languages and work for the UN then go right ahead and ridicule. Otherwise lay off.

So my wife got a request for appendix a today :D things are moving along I see. A few questions. How long until the COPR comes in the mail? Also they had an appendix b attached specifying photo requirements but didn't specifically request them (just said appendix a). Should we send in new photos...

    Floods in Tronto Ontario!!

Hamilton FTW! :P But seriously, I grew up in Hamilton and have lived in Tokyo for 8 years. Tokyo is overcrowded, Toronto isn't. Toronto is a good sized city IMO. As for jobs canada isn't a good country for shifting people around to fill job vacancies. Also small cities are near impossible to...

Thanks Steph. In the message to them I did request them to include me in any email communication that might happen in the future. So for Japanese they just send the COPR in the mail and notify you that it's coming via email?

Ok so a bit of a problem. My wife loves to choose weird email addresses and then forget them. When we submitted the application she said her address was correct. Now I went over the application and double checked it with the actual address and the one on the application is wrong. I sent a...

The address is the one in the middle of the email I think. Not sure about appendix A. But better safe than sorry so write in her whole family but leave out the passport details of the ones not going to canada.

Top 10 Mistakes That Will Sink Your Immigration Application

We included a cover letter with a brief thank you for considering the application and an introduction and also listed everything extra we sent with the application. The amount of photos, the appendices, etc. why? Because too many people touch the application and it gets passed around a lot. It's...

    Frustrated by Delays?

Sorry I should have been more clear. You are right that a union with more members is stronger than one with less. What I was trying to say is that once a union controls a certain industry or sector it is beneficial to increase the requirements to enter. Otherwise wages will go down. Also, unions...

    Frustrated by Delays?

1st- governments make profits. Just look at the LCBO or the post office. 2nd- the government isn't all to blame and neither is the union. Just like GM going bankrupt a few years ago wasn't solely because of the union or the management. It's always somewhere in the middle. 3rd- you'll probably...

Great thanks for your help! I honestly can't see why there would be an interview. We dated for four years and have been married an additional three years. But if there was one at least I could go on vacation to Manila :P

So when I move I should use my Canadian address for the visa and it will be ok? Also, once the visa is given all we will have to do is drive to the US and drive back to land? She won't need to go back to Japan and then come from there? I'm looking at September 10th for the both of us to move...

Thanks for the reply. I received the email on February 4th about being approved. I'm planning on returning to Canada in September and was hoping my wife could come with me. Is it possible that she comes for a visit while she waits for the PR? Does she have to leave and re-enter Canada once...

New to this forum so please bear with me. My wife (from Japan) sent our application in November 20th and they received our medical results but the status is still application received only. I'm reading some people on here who had their applications received later than ours getting it processed...
